Make Super Sonic Golden Again

Surprised this isn't a thing all ready (to my knowledge)

Can someone make a Super Sonic mod that makes him golden and shiny like in the adventure games, but for the base game Super Sonic. I've seen a lot of mods with custom Super Sonic that are stylized this way and I'd love to use it on the base game model. 

I'm not sure if its just a texture edit, or also requires editing the materials, hence why I'm making the request. I just animate I don't understand all this other stuff.

Requirements

2. Also Super Sonic 2 if possible
