DDS Editor for Characters and Bosses (Re-Upload)

Why would this be featured

I want to change the New characters textures but i tried GIMP and paint.net but it said it was an invalid DDS file. And i tried with the Boss textures and it said the same thing! Is there any other DDS editor that can work for the bosses and characters?
