Question after, probably, mockery of GIMI on PC

I'm trying to manually go through the assembly of mods with the game on, but the selected costumes on the characters almost constantly start to fall off. By what principle could the mod remember the last state after restarting the game, but now it has stopped? A little earlier, before this problem, I tried to install several parallel GIMIs for each build due to small conflicts: when changing the mods folder to an empty one to fill, for some reason the faces of the characters disappeared from the game. Trying to sort out the landfill in this way brought me to this question.
