No artificial intelligence was employed; only simple photoshop knowledge.
Recently, I discovered that the red gascan texture phys_objects02a had been reduced in resolution from 512x512 to 256 with bicubic (smooth gradients), as any other mode left artifacting on hooks in its texture sheet. Since any other mode causes artifacting on these hooks in Photoshop's vivid light mode rescaler would leave artifacts on them, I rescaled back up to 512 and inverted it before using vivid light mode to restore details in photoshop and then used these details when making higher resolution metalgascan textures!
Though Half Life 2 repo had leaked, there wasn't an uncompressed high resolution texture for either phys_objects02a(512x512) or metalgascan(256x256), so instead I chose an uncompressed TGA file so there wouldn't be double VTF compression)
Unfortunately you're unable to read all of the text; I am trying to discern whether this device uses real image valves - time will tell!
