If I used my custom kit model then maybe

Place Kitsunami "Kit" the Fennec over Tails as part of my Surge Mod; she needs someone with whom she can share adventures! I have seen several Surge mods for other Sonic games but none yet for Kit. She needs her partner-in-crime!

Synching eyes and mouth would be ideal, yet not strictly required for flying as Tails does; Kit could probably use one of Kit's water whips as an extra tail in his flight path instead.
